It is very well written. Being from the area it is written about I can closely relate to the characters and their feelings. It is one of the kind of books where you become a part of them and not just looking in on them.Ann Wert

By Janice Michael This book has all the elements a Southern gothic novel should have - eccentricity, illegitimacy, star-crossed lovers, ex-cons, religion, racial accord and discord, farmers, cemeteries, distrust, crime, drunkenness, beer joints, love and hate. As a first-time writer, this author did a very admirable job of describing the places, the people and the events. He ties up all the loose ends, yet leaves us with the feeling that there might be more to this story. Hopefully, we'll be hearing more from this author and these characters.
