By MONICA An ABSOLUTE MUST READ!!!OPHELIA SIKES has an uncanny ability to take you on a journey few author's can achieve. She makes you FEEL things that can be thrilling, erotic, warm n fuzzy, and also painful, sorrowful, pissed off, emotion filled. A good author entertains you. A GREAT author entertains you and makes you relate, makes you Feel.I laughed, I cried, I mourned for Hiedi and Aiden. You must take this Journey, it may change you forever. She doesn't leave you hanging if you read it right along.60 stars for you Ophelia Sikes.---MONICA---
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A fighter falling for a fighter By Sandass I don't even know where to begin describing the impact this book has had on me. I feel the urge to go out and raise funds for shelters for abused women. There was never a temptation to skip pages or chapters as with some books.The descriptions of sexual abuse Aedan, Betty, Heide and the many other wonen endured were difficult to read. They were so realistic I wanted to call the author to see if she had experienced these things herself. I wanted to comfort her or some of the women who'd been hurt.There are so many sick, evil, dangerous men in this book it is hard to imagine how they all could have been such close friends for so long as they carried out their torture and assaults.One would think such creepy people would turn on one another.All the while, there is a blossoming love relationship growing between Aedan and Heidi. They are so obviously headed to a HEA.He has a most wonderful group of brothers who are practically miracle workers at helping the good guys survive.Heidi is a strong person who saves herself from death at the hands of a couple of the most vile characters in the book. She and Aedan provide the strength for each other to heal.One can't overlook another theme running through the book and that is the world of professional fighting. While reading the book I watched several MMA fights on TV and found the descriptions in the book to be spot on. The fight I watched last night was almost too gross for me to tolerate but it wwas so much like the fight the author described.Ophelia Sikes is very talented in the way she describes settings, situations and emotions. I have read several of her books and this one stacks up with the others with a five star rating.I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an impartial review.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Such suspense hang on to your seats! By Jennifer Smith Wow what a story. So many twist and turns keeps you hanging on by the edge of your seat. Aedan and Heidi have been through so much. Can they let the past go, fight the deamons that haunt them, and find trust and love in each other? Please read their story if you like suspense, romance, heros, and heroines. You will not be disapointed the author wrote this series very tastefully.
