About the Author Julie Starkel is the married mother of 3 mostly grown boys, Thomas, Benjamin, and Jacob. She lives with her husband Rod, 2 of her boys, and Sequoia their German Sheppard in Sparks, Nevada. Julie enjoys quilting along with drawing. She is a self taught quilter/artist, who took up Zentangle drawing to help with free motion quilting designs. She found that she enjoyed drawing almost as much as quilting. Julie put together this collection of drawings with the encouragement of friends, co-workers, and the children she worked with at a Christian based after-school program who have all enjoyed coloring the many pictures she has created. She now hopes that others will enjoy her drawing just as much.

By Carolyn Sasek I found that the overall quality of the book exceeded my expectations and I am enjoying it SO MUCH!! -- I have not 'colored' in decades... My first pages were done with my sons colored pencils... then I switched to Sharpies ...next I'm thinking I'll get a large collection of good quality colored pencils, though not sure my abilities can do justice to the artwork. (My compliments to Julie!)I have enjoyed my time coloring so very much that I've sent one as a gift to a friend [so far... working on Christmas list now. ;) ] If you have not taken time to color lately, I highly suggest you do! This is a book that you can easily share with all ages and have fun personalizing the very creative artwork contained inside!JAS Doodlebug Zenspirations definitely contains quality above and beyond any artwork in any coloring book that I've ever seen!! I'm considering framing some of the images (after coloring, of course) for hanging. Many of the images include scriptures 'woven through' them. This I like VERY much!! I am happy to share this coloring book with family and friends!
