Excellent vegetarian cookbook By TFLReader We have been trying to eat vegetarian more and more for health reasons and I have had the most difficult time coming up with recipes that are both easy to make and that taste good. This lifestyle doesn't come easy for me. I picked up author Dez Meecham's new book, "A New Classic Vegetarian Cookbook for People on the Go!" and it has been a lifesaver. There are some delicious recipes in this book that do not take a lot of time to put together and that are simply delicious. We have already made the Quick Chickpea Curry and the Penne with Spinach Pesto. The Red Lentil-Spinach Stew is up next. Highly recommended vegetarian recipe book.

By Heather G Eating healthy can be challenging at the best of times, yet when the minutes get crunched – it gets even harder. Add in being vegetarian and healthy eating becomes a dance that is hard to manage, especially if one of your goals is cooking most of the meals yourself.Like most people, I do not have a lot of time – which makes “A New Classic Vegetarian Cookbook for People On the Go” by Dez Meecham a great cookbook for my kitchen. With two kids and a lot of goals, I am always on the go and this cookbook actually offers recipes that can be prepared in 20 minutes or less – and that is including prep time!There are numerous easy recipes inside, including at least 5 that I have already proven that my incredibly picky children will eat; Millet Risotto with Butternut Squash and Penne with Spinach Pesto. Tomorrow I am trying one of the soups.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. This is a great little cookbook By VoraciousReader This is a great little cookbook. I do want to emphasize "little." It only has 12 recipes. But they are twelve really simple and delicious sounding recipes. I will probably try all of them, which is as many as I often try out of cookbooks with 100 recipes. The ingredient lists are mostly things I have around or can purchase at my regular grocery. The couple of exceptions (dinosaur kale and millet) I am pretty sure I can find without any difficulty or I can easily substitute (reg kale and rice.) I think the author did a really nice job. The book is well formatted and edited, and I can't wait to make the stir-fried bok choy recipe. At 99 cents, I think this is a steal. I would easily pay 2.99 for it.
