A valuable readers copy for those researching the mid 19th - early 20th c. working of the craft in the centre of the U.S. By Regius MS A description to aid the potential reader in hope that this work is spread broadly.This is a solid readers copy equal to most and exceeding the quality of a few scanned originals i own produced by Kessinger Publishing. My only complaints are that the page numbers are on the interior of the page, making referencing the index slightly irritating and 2 missing pages.CONTENT: 1859 edition of Webb work with running commentary by Rob Morris (founder of O.E.S.) which is both informative and distracting.A York Rite Monitor which includes.-The Ancient, Capitular, Cryptic & Chivalric Degrees-The Ancient Charges from James Anderson's 1723 Constitutions in entirety-A Practical Synopsis of Masonic Law and Usage (in alphabetical reference form) by Morris-The Morris Chronological Tables of Masonry (a history arranged by month)-Odes for Masonic Occasions by Morris and others (including the beauty full "The Level and The Square" by Morris)PERSONAL THOUGHTS: Aside from Morris' actions unbecoming of a Mason by sprinkling commercialism throughout the Monitor (advertising in the middle of the text on multiple occasions a collection of 53 books he named "The Universal Masonic Library" of which 38 are listed in THIS publication which is missing the last 2 pages, the diligent researcher can locate them online if they wish to know the other 15 titles he recommended.) this is a informative and valuable work for those researching the mid 19th - early 20th c. working of the craft. In particular, those interested in the area of the U.S. where the southern portion of the Northern Jurisdiction and the northern region of the Southern Jurisdiction of the A.A.S.R. met.i doubt that i am alone in being an individual whose eyes cannot tolerate long periods of reading on electronic screens. i thank Nabu Press and others for producing at reasonable prices, hard copies of books that are only otherwise available as pricey and fragile original publications or in a precarious electronic form.Perhaps Nabu Press will notice and appreciate my effort here and procure and publish a "Primary Source Edition" of Enoch Terry Carson's 1858 publication of the Webb work, making a hard copy of that informative and valuable book available to those interested once again.so mote it be
