About the Author Adriana Guyton is an author of contemporary literary fiction. Born in New Zealand, Adriana studied “Writing Practice & Theory” at Massey University in 1984 whilst forging her career in a thriving Criminal and Family Law Practise before the birth of her only son. Writing that “first novel” was put on the back burner for many years. After moving to England and seizing the opportunity for a career change, Adriana studied horticulture and garden design, and built a successful, busy company in the South of England designing and constructing unique garden designs for country estates and London residences. After much persuasion by her English husband, the family migrated to Australia, settling in Sydney where Adriana was at last able to start writing “that novel” in between part-time work and a busy home life. In 2011, Adriana and her husband quit their jobs to spend a year house sitting and managing holiday accommodation in the South of France. Adriana’s goal was to complete her first novel whilst living the French adventure she’d dreamt of since childhood. Whilst in France, Adriana won a place at a Writer’s Workshop in Dublin, Ireland which led to her being mentored by Shelley Weiner, an acclaimed novelist, short-story writer and journalist from the Gold Dust Organisation in the UK. Under Shelley’s mentorship, Adriana completed her debut novel “Consequences” – an engrossing glance at how families can recover from the darkest of situations. Adriana’s love of the human spirit is the inspiration for her second novel “Honey I’m Gay”, which she is currently working on. In between writing and other pursuits, she still finds time for gardening on their half acre block in the Dandenong Ranges, Melbourne, Australia where she now resides with her husband and two naughty rescue kittens.

Adriana's writings made it easy to form vivid pictures of the characters & their surroundings. I'm not much of a reader yet I looked forward to returning to this story each evening. I look forward to more material from Adriana Guyton.
