The drawings are pretty simple...not in a kids/crayons way but in a "have only 15 minutes to spend on coloring and would like to complete a page in one sitting" way. Of course, I sometimes end up doing back-to-back pictures because I enjoy doing the first one so much. The black background really makes the colors pop...and there's just something so nice about trees "illuminated" against a night sky. If you like the cover of this book, you'll enjoy the book. (some of the pics are a good bit more detailed than the cover but not in a stress-inducing way demanding sharpened pencils with every stroke, if you know what I mean)Great coloring book...added this author to my list of authors to keep an eye on for future books!!!

However this book looks as if a small child drew the pictures. I donated it the children's floor of my local hospital and I hope when they see these pictures they will bring out the artist in them!
