I read this book in less than twenty-four hours since I am a fast reader. I tried to listen to the book since I enjoy doing this but found the audio book impossible to understand. I found the Unplanned easy to read but the words did not flow as they do in the books I really enjoy. There were holes in the story although it had an interesting premise. The meeting of the four pregnant women at a yogi class was a clever way for the author to bring the characters together. One of the pregnancies was definitely planned and this was one of the holes in the story.I guess the author felt that the twins that were found to be expected made it unplanned. Since I am the mother of four children I would have though that I would have more empathy for the mother of three children that unexpectedly was having a fourth. However, she seemed to be living in the sixties when it came to her relationship with her husband. In my opinion she would have jerked a knot in him years ago. She was a doormat. The younger mothers were more realistic, I felt that their actionswere more true to type in my opinion. A less opinionated reader would probably have enjoyed this story more than I did. The author's descriptions of the physical effects of early pregnancy were 'spot on.'

The idea of this book was very intriguing and all in all I felt was a good story. Sadly there were some holes in the plot, and I feel the stories jumped around a bit. There were several times that I was lost and had to go back to the date stamp that the author put at the beginning of the chapters. I wondered about the fourth pregnancy being unplanned, although eventually I figured it out. There were a few typos that hindered my reading experience as well.

WELL WRITTEN By Dawn O This story weaves the lives of four women with unplanned pregnancies into a common life event with very different surrounding events. Each woman handles her life in a different way yet with pregnancy the common thread there is an unbreakable bond. I was provided a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
