By Barbara McMahon Scanlan Three Women is a treasure trove for theatres and actors looking for challenging roles in Parks' portraits of three iconic women. The voices are unique, often witty, and yet each bears the burden of success linked to failure. None more so than Zelda Fitzgerald, flapper, writer, painter, demented. The plays can be produced from bare stage to imaginative expansion, still the playwright offers an exceptional gift to players, theatres, and audiences.Read it, and if you can, see it. Putting them at the center of a play is a brilliant way to deliver a great deal about them effortlessly. We hear them make their own case for who they really are. Did Parker really say that heterosexual sex was not normal only common? Parks provides no citations, but has clearly and deeply immersed himself in each one of these unique literary figures. He caught the head of all three women's voices perfectly. Well done, Mr. Parks! As a playwright, you are the act to beat!!Phyllis Theroux, author
