About the Author Dorothy Gerlach is a teacher and after school she works as a therapist to help people with psychological problems. She gives talks on ADHD, wrote two children's books on autism and phobia and a novel on Parkinson. In "A Guernsey Promise", she catches the beauty of the island and the complexity of love. She studied American and English literature in Rostock, Cardiff and Bath and has worked with refugees. Dorothy Gerlach believes in the challenge of the otherness.

She really fights the odds to fulfill her dream, and it looks like she found the right one. However, you need two to become one. I really like John and clearly see why the sensitive and nice guy often comes second. Loved the episode with Hannah and her dad. Would like to travel to Guernsey. Must be a great place.
