It is a good thing that this lost journal was found because it gives a picture of what life was like for many young people, especially in the 60's and 70's. For those who were a part of this generation, it will bring back memories, and for those who were not, it will reveal a lifestyle they did not know. It is an honest, non apologetic account of the author, largely in a stream-of-consciousness style and interspersed with poetry, as he searches for meaning in his world. The poetry alone is worth the read. Although it is presented as fiction, you can see the truth.
