2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Imagination Gone Wild By Amazon Customer This book is a very different kind of book which is rarely found when it comes to reading. However, the story features a mental illness which I never heard about and this fact of getting to know something hard to find made me curious to read this book. From the first page till the last I was unable to stop imagining what could be the end. This is a must read story being a very interesting one.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Earth’s one and only guardian By Denniger Bolton I’ve read quite a few of the author, Kyle Robertson’s books. They’re eclectic, each one of them unique and of course this one is too. He holds you, the reader, in suspense the entire way. Like you keep asking yourself, what the heck is really going on here? The hero, Jackson Quwelliks is fired from his ideal job as a game programmer simply because he could see things in the room nobody else could see, and since bills have a way of wanting to be paid, he heads for the unemployment office. He meets the girl of his dreams, Jasmine, and quite a bit of the book is about the two of them as they develop their relationship.Jackson was diagnosed with schizophrenia because of those invisible aliens he sees. They’re not from another planet but from another plane and only show themselves to him. As the book evolves, he finds a way to show these figments of his so called imagination to others including Jasmine, so if other people can see them too, how can he be crazy? But things are not all they seem and the warped mind of Kyle Robertson puts rapids and a 100 foot waterfall just around the bend in the river.

Final Mental Adventure (Ultimo Mentis Valebat): Elton's Ethereal Journey Through Schizophrenia was actually a very fast read, taking you on a journey of how a schizophrenic mind works. And although I've read about schizophrenia and schizophrenics before, I was not aware of the extent one might go in an attempt simply live life and feel normal. The novel itself is competently written with plenty of plot points to keep you guessing. Kyle Robertson also has a knack for dialogue, helping make these characters come alive and feel multi-dimensional. I could almost see this book as an independent film... It's that good. 5 Stars!
